Adding And Deleting Pages
How can I add a page?
Simple, in the control panel, click on "Setup Pages" under the "Manage Pages" menu. Scroll to the bottom where you will see a field to add a page. Type what you want the page to be called and choose the page type and click "submit."
What are the page types? And whats the difference between them?
There are four page types:
1. Homepage: this is most typically used as the first page of the site, it will display a slideshow of large images or just one unchanging image if you only put one image on this page. 2. Text Page: This is typically used for "about," "bio," and other pages that you need to display text. Each text page also includes one image that is displayed with the text. 3. Gallery Page: This is the core of your website. All gallery pages require that you create sub-galleries. For example you can call the gallery "Portfolio" and inside that section will be a breakdown like "works of 2008," "works of 2009," etc. 4. Contact Page: This page includes a contact form so people can send you an email directly from the site. Be sure to set this up entirely for it to work by next going to "Manage Page Content." Contact Pages also includes an image and a short text so you can write your phone numbers, emails, etc. All the pages can be used for any page you like, for example, the gallery page can be used for Press, a text page can be used for Events. The possibilities are endless. |
